West Bend is a city of parks, home to 18 developed parks that provide playgrounds for playing, pavilions for picnicking, ponds for fishing, ice for skating, and paths for jogging. Regner Park is the largest of the many splendid urban oasis's, offering more than 79 acres for the public's use. The park contains everything for family and individual recreation, including picnic areas, ball fields, tennis and basketball courts, biking and hiking trails, horseshoe pits, playgrounds, a swimming beach and bathhouse, a fishing pond and an enclosed pavilion.

The Museum of Wisconsin Art, founded in 1961, has the world's largest collection of 19th Century Milwaukee-Munich artist, Carl von Marr. It also has an extensive collection of Wisconsin art dating from the 1850's.

The museum rounds-out its offerings with exhibits of contemporary art, workshops and classes for adults and children.

The original Washington County Courthouse is the new home of the Washington County Historical Museum. The Courthouse was built in 1889. Citizens of this county and some private grants have supported the total restoration of the facility. You may also tour the former Jail House.

The University of Wisconsin Center-Washington County provides diverse opportunities for cultural expression and appreciation. Classes in language, art, music, and theater are offered each semester. Performance opportunities in theater and music add to a public fine arts series that brings performers and speakers from diverse fields to the campus.
